This piece draws inspiration from the mailman sling bags of midcentury America, shaded by a myriad of tones of from the palette of the world. The body of this bag nods to home with a beautifully worn antique American quilt, and juxtaposes them with its lining, a 60s US military ripstop field fabric.  In smothering military fabric with the beautiful notes of some nicer tune, I hope to lay a blanket of tranquility, however tattered it may be...

Divinity is in the details see, the body of the piece comes fully lined with vintage 60s US military ripstop field fabric, and while most mailbags come with an unsealable open mouth, ours can be secured by an antiqued centered button, and held securely across your body or over your shoulder with the attached antique Japanese Obi sling strap.  This "Old News" mailbag is sized 16" W x 12" H x 12" D with a 37" strap.
