The pair in question cuts no corners, my canvas being a long time favorite of mine, a Japan made Orslow M43
My inspo, in short, Japanese Americana.
So I sought out to make a personal peace, something that i’ve wanted to do for a while now, and used all of my favorite fabric to instruct the colorblock, which will become more intimate with the wearer as they do the same. One must be sure not to miss the vintage red bandana that peeks behind the thin veil of tan comprising the peace symbol on the right knee.
Near century old Japanese fabric, entirely hand appliqued with endless lines of white, navy blue, and green sashiko..a personal peace, for someone new🖤!
With love✌🏿!
"I've had PTSD since the war" the old man said to me, hobbling through the time withered doorway of his living room.
"And sorry son, I don't have any of that ahh...whatid ya call it, perc 30 stuff for your tea, but I do have sugar," he kindly uttered, setting my mug down on the coffee table between us.
"I've lost tons of people, especially as of late. Sign of the times I guess..."
A lone tear dared to trespass the drought stricken terrain that constituted his visage, destined from birth, to martyrdom. Although quite like the man in front of me, it failed to realize the beauty of its ephemerality.
"It must be terribly hard," I said.."To find the strength to keep going"
"YOU WOULDN'T KNOW THE HALF OF IT!" yelled the old man, his eyes ablaze. "...Let me show you something son."
Using the last of his strength, he stumbled over to the closet, motioning for me to follow.
"HARD!? NOW THESE SHITS RIGHT HERE," he screamed, "IS HARD!"
Hot air whistled through his dentures, blowing postwar era dust off an ungodly pair of boro M43 pants.
"As I was saying, I've lost a lot of followers because I haven't been postin fitpics like I used to. But don't get it twisted, I've had Pieces That Seriously Drip my whole life."
