Using an Orslow P-41 trouser as my canvas, this piece, entitled “Symbiotica/Green Peace” is one of my most ambitious projects to date. Further developing on my love for the relationship between green and blue, this piece features a medley of antique indigo dyed Japanese fabric, sashiko stitched by hand, only to be deconstructed, reconstructed, and more, until finally evolving into what you see before you now.

That relationship is solely dependant on our protagonist, and is sometimes blurry but..
What if, perhaps, there is also a symbiotic relationship between the piece itself, and the material it takes on?
In that, once the piece itself takes on something new, it forms a relationship from which it is impossible to distinguish whose side must have come first.
I’d like to think that in that same way, the blues and greens on this piece are now “symbiotic, in green peace”.
