"Counting Time" Composted HBT vest
"Counting Time" Composted HBT vest
You’re looking at culmination of about 40 laser focused hours, an ode to the lovers known to many of us in the west as Blue and Green.
Mr. Faulkner counted the moons with stitches, or so they say, and this piece holds many moons worth. In fact many more than you might think, due to the is a good amount of colormatched blue sashiko you have to experience in person to really appreciate.
The vest, which is my first, is a 60s HBT field jacket adorned with carefully placed pieces of antique Japanese indigo fabric, melded together by hand stitched sashiko and later meticulously stripped down to create a finished boro effect. A wearable piece of art, which measures in at a 22" chest flat and a length of 28"
Whether Faulkner is real or not is up to your personal interpretation, for it’s not only kids, who see ghosts.
